After years of allegations regarding Sean "Diddy" Combs's alleged abusive behavior, Wendy Williams expressed her relief at learning that he was being investigated.
"You know how I feel about that? It is about time," she disclosed to The Daily Mail. "To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific."
As previously reported by OK! Magazine, surveillance footage from 2016 was released earlier this year, showing the disgraced music producer grabbing, shoving, and striking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
"But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible," the 60-year-old stated. "What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, 'Wendy you called it.' Including some people from my family who have said the same."
Williams disclosed in a 2015 episode of The Wendy Williams Show that she'd be fearful about dating a male such as Combs, 54, in a resurfaced episode.
According to Williams, when you're dating a wealthy businessman, it's like playing hide-and-seek; you never know when they're going to show up. For example, he may immediately charter an aircraft, fly it to South Africa, touch down on the hotel's rooftop, bribe the front desk staff, and then say, "Give me the key and let me up in her room." The thought that someone could suddenly descend on me out of nowhere allegedly terrifies her to no end.
Combs was apprehended on Monday, September 16, and charged with racketeering conspiracy, s-- trafficking by force, and interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution on Tuesday, September 17, as per Al Jazeera.
He was denied bail on two separate occasions due to his status as a flight risk and an active hazard.
The court ruled that no one condition or set of requirements may be considered reasonable in order to guarantee that the defendant will present as necessary, keep the community and others safe, and maintain the integrity of the proceedings. The defendant's dangerousness and persistent threat to community safety are borne up by the seriousness of the accusations in the indictment.
On Wednesday, September 18, the rapper submitted an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as per USA Today.
