If celebrities ever started giving out honors for the cutest couples among themselves, Adam Brody and his wife, Leighton Meester, would undoubtedly win many prizes.

Because Adam is currently back in the spotlight due to the new Netflix series "Nobody Wants This," the couple's marriage is currently the topic everyone is discussing, New Idea Magazine. Within the context of the romantic comedy, he portrays a "hot rabbi" who is recently single and initiates a romantic engagement with an agnostic sex podcaster, portrayed by Kristen Bell.

Because it is the "ultimate noughties teen-drama crossover," Adam and Leighton's relationship has, of course, always been the source of a great deal of excitement for a particular generation, during her time as Blair Waldorf on "Gossip Girl, " he portrayed the role of Seth Cohen on "The O.C."

"It's good for a laugh," Adam, 44, once said of the people's reaction to their union. Leighton, 38, added: "It doesn't excite us ... but it's exciting to us that it's exciting to [fans]."

The two were first linked after appearing together in the independent film "The Oranges" in 2011, ELLE reported. Even though there was apparent "chemistry" between them, Adam recalled in an interview in 2021 that nothing transpired between them since he was "seeing someone" else.

During Adam's film "Some Girl(s)" premiere in June 2013, they eventually made their relationship official on the red carpet. This came not long after a new round of dating rumors had surfaced.

The couple tied the knot in a stealthy ceremony by the water in Northern California at the beginning of 2014. Insiders told New Idea it was "a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends.”

Adam revealed additional information regarding their whirlwind affair almost ten years after the initial revelation. He revealed that he and Leighton "got married quickly after we started dating. That's how sort of easy a decision it was for me and us."

Except for promotional red-carpet appearances, the pair rarely appeared in photographs together, contributing to the continued mystery surrounding their relationship from when they were engaged until they got married. After several years had passed, Adam disclosed that the reason was that they were "inherently private" individuals.

When they started a family, they continued to enjoy this level of solitude. In 2015, Leighton gave birth to a daughter named Arlo, and in 2020, she gave birth to a son whose name they had never disclosed to the public, PEOPLE Magazine reported.
