Sean "Diddy" Combs and his legal counsel are displeased with the six alarming new lawsuits lodged against the rapper on Monday, October 14.
The attorneys for the music mogul criticized the latest alleged victims' lawyer, Tony Buzbee, alleging that he filed a "barrage of lawsuits" to get media attention.
Combs' attorneys stated, "The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s influx of filings were evident efforts to attract publicity," following the announcement of the imprisoned Bad Boy Records founder facing another lawsuit.
The attorneys for the rapper of "I'll Be Missing You" told Page Six: "Mr. Combs and his legal team possess complete confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process."
"In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman," they asserted, despite the 12 lawsuits filed against the 54-year-old and the hundreds of alleged victims believed to have been adversely affected by the music producer's conduct.
In the latest cases against Combs, both male and female plaintiffs have alleged that the "I Need a Girl" rapper raped, drugged, sodomized, and threatened to kill them if they did not acquiesce to his demands.
One woman alleging victimization by Combs accused him of raping her in 2004 when she was 19 years old.
The woman said she was with Combs at a photo shoot when he invited her to his Marriott hotel room in Manhattan for a "more exclusive gathering."
The victim and her companion were reportedly taken to a "separate room" away from the "main party" and sexually abused.
The purported victim asserted that Combs 'threatened to have them both murdered' if they disapproved.
A second lawsuit filed on Monday alleges that Combs, reportedly accompanied by two bodyguards who also threatened to "kill" the guy, orally sexually assaulted a man in the stockroom of a Macy’s department store, OK! Magazine reported.
Another individual claimed that Combs administered drugs and sodomized him in a car stationed outside one of the renowned artist's notorious "white parties" in 2006. The purported victim said he implored for assistance, but Combs merely assured him that he would "be alright."
A fourth case pertains to a lady who alleged that Combs raped her during an event for a new Biggie Smalls music video in 1995. She alleged that he "brutally assaulted her, forcefully impacting her head against a wall" before to engaging in non-consensual intercourse.
Buzbee submitted All six complaints in the Southern District of New York, representing over 120 purported victims of Combs, as per The Washington Post.
The three-time Grammy winner has entered a plea of not guilty to all allegations of racketeering and trafficking filed against him. He was mandated to stay in custody until his trial commences on May 5.
Combs faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if found guilty.
