Ben Affleck 'felt blessed' after spending a cozy Thanksgiving holiday with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez
Oscar winner Ben Affleck, 52, was seen looking cordial with Jennifer Garner while they volunteered for Midnight Mission on Thanksgiving. They had a delicious lunch at the actress's residence with their children, Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
According to the DailyMail, while Affleck was helping out the non-profit organization on Thursday to feed 2,000 homeless people in downtown Los Angeles, he was observed getting near to Garner and speaking to each other during the busy day. Garner was also seen getting close to Affleck.
The former couple had been married since 2005, and it was disclosed in 2015 that they had ended their marriage. After three years, their divorce was finally finalized in 2018.
"Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her," the insider added. "Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she's the mother of his kids."
Page Six was informed by a source that Affleck "felt blessed" to spend Thanksgiving with his ex-wife and children. The source also stated that he "can just be himself" when he is in the presence of Garner.
In addition, the insider disclosed to the publication that Affleck and Garner have had the opportunity to celebrate several Thanksgiving holidays together since their split.
"They'll always be close because they share children together and maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship," the insider said.
On the occasion, they provided special meals to those in need. The two individuals wore identical aprons with the phrase "I [heart] the Midnight Mission."
During the excursion, the two celebrities were seen standing near one another, and at one point, Affleck was spotted whispering into Jennifer's ear while wearing a slight smile.
According to Judi James, an expert in body language, Ben's "demeanor suggests he is where he wants to be, without any pressure to perform as an A-lister." This information was provided to DailyMail.
"His smile registers a fun, playful approach and at one point he whispers in Jennifer's ear in an act of intimacy," the expert added.
