Dayle Haddon, the renowned Canadian supermodel and actress, has died at the age of 76 in a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning incident. The tragedy occurred at the Bucks County, Pennsylvania, home of her son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas, known for his roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Hallmark films. Authorities are investigating the incident, which appears to have been caused by a malfunctioning heating unit.

Police responded to a 911 call early on Friday, December 27, arriving at the residence to find high levels of carbon monoxide inside the property. According to reports, a 76-year-old man was discovered unconscious on the first floor and was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Haddon was found deceased in a second-floor bedroom. The Bucks County coroner confirmed her identity and stated that a toxicology report is underway to determine the exact cause of death.

The suspected carbon monoxide leak did not affect other family members who were in the main house on the property. However, two medics were transported to a local hospital for carbon monoxide exposure, and one responding police officer received treatment at the scene.

Authorities believe fumes from a malfunctioning boiler may have been responsible for the leak. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

"The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it's most needed, I have no doubt," she wrote. Ryan described her mother as a deeply creative and spiritual person who inspired and supported everyone she encountered. "She was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out," the tribute read.

Marc Blucas, Haddon's son-in-law, has not issued a public statement regarding the incident. Blucas, best known for his role as Riley Finn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has been married to Ryan Haddon since 2009.
