During her acceptance of the Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival in California, Ariana Grande made a lighthearted and humorous remark about her career.

With actress Jennifer Coolidge introducing her, the pop star thanked "Juvederm and Botox" for their role in her success, playfully referencing the cosmetic treatments she has used over the years, according to People.

Ariana expressed how much the honor meant to her, reflecting on her long journey in the entertainment industry. She joked about her age, saying that she never expected to hear the phrase "rising star" again at 31, humorously adding that she had expected to be called a "slightly withering star" or "drooping star" instead. The playful comments lightened the mood and showcased Ariana's wit and candidness in public settings.

In recent years, Ariana has been open about her past use of Botox and lip fillers. In 2023, she admitted that she regularly used these treatments during her younger years but decided to stop in 2018. Ariana explained that she found the procedures overwhelming and felt the pressure to hide her true self. The decision to stop was a turning point for her, as she sought more authenticity in her appearance, especially in the face of constant scrutiny that comes with fame.

Despite her previous use of cosmetic procedures, Ariana has firmly denied undergoing other surgeries. During a polygraph test in 2024, led by her "Wicked" co-star, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana was questioned about rumors of more extensive surgeries, such as breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and chin implants. She denied having any of these procedures, though, per Page Six, she acknowledged that she had received Botox and lip fillers "in various places" but emphasized that she had stopped these treatments several years ago. Ariana also stated that she's not opposed to the idea of future procedures like facelifts, though she remains "open" to the possibility rather than seeking them out.

In her acceptance speech, Ariana also took the opportunity to express her admiration for her colleagues. She referred to Cynthia Erivo, her "Wicked" co-star, as her "brilliant sister," and praised Jon M. Chu, the director of "Wicked", as their "fearless leader." Ariana's remarks highlighted the close bond she shares with her co-stars and the supportive relationships that have helped her navigate her career.

The Palm Springs Film Festival ceremony was not just about honoring rising stars like Ariana. It also celebrated the contributions of established figures in the entertainment industry. Among those honored was Nicole Kidman, who accepted the Global Star Award. Kidman became emotional as she dedicated the award to her late mother, who passed away in September.

The event was a celebration of both the new talents breaking into Hollywood and the enduring legacies of Hollywood icons. It was a night to reflect on the achievements of the past and look forward to the exciting future of entertainment.
