At his father's inauguration, Barron Trump briefly spoke with former Vice President Joe Biden, sparking curiosity on social media about their conversation.

Barron, an 18-year-old New York University student, attended the 2025 event with his mother, Melania, and his half-siblings. Barron shook hands with Biden and Kamala Harris in the Capitol Rotunda after President Trump's swearing-in, according to People.

A TikTok video of the interaction has since gone viral, captivating the internet. In the video, Barron was seen clutching Biden's hand and then leaning in close, giving the impression that he was whispering something into his ear.

Despite the fact that the native of Delaware had a grin on his face prior to his meeting with Barron, Biden's cheerful expression was replaced by a solemn look when the teen made his mysterious comment. People on the internet have been eager to find out what he said.

On TikTok, where the video has been seen more than 500,000 times, some viewers in the comments section have speculated about what Barron might have said to Biden in order for him to change his countenance to one that is so solemn.

One person joked that it seemed like Barron had said, "You're done."

Another user speculated that Barron might have told Biden, "You forgot to pardon yourself."

A third user admitted they weren't sure what Barron said but expressed a desire to have it printed on a shirt.

Some individuals, on the other hand, asserted that he was actually not whispering in Biden's ear but rather leaning in to chat with Harris.

Following Barron's praise as "a true gentleman" for shaking hands with Biden and Harris, the footage went viral.

Users of social media came to the conclusion that the college freshman was "raised well" by his mother, Melania, as a result of the gesture of goodwill between the two parties.

One user commented, "That gesture, coming from someone so young, left a very strong impression on me," emphasizing that Barron's initiative in walking across the aisle and shaking hands with them was a very sophisticated and mature thing to do. There was another person who said, "Good for Barron."

"Congratulations, Melania," commented one person, impressed by Barron's gesture. At his father's second inauguration, Barron debuted a slicked-back hairstyle and attended a church service at St. John's Episcopal Church in a black overcoat, white shirt, and purple tie, sitting with his parents.

The Daily Mail reports that President Trump received applause during his inauguration when he promised a "new golden age of America." In his first hours, he signed an executive order reversing 78 Biden actions, froze regulations, and banned federal hiring, except in military and key sectors.

Trump also addressed rising living costs, declared withdrawal from the Paris climate deal, mandated federal employees return to in-person work, and issued orders protecting free speech and halting government actions against political adversaries.
