A new lawsuit filed Monday in New York state court accuses Sean "Diddy" Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting an aspiring male singer in 2015, intensifying the barrage of legal battles confronting the embattled hip-hop mogul. The latest complaint arrives as Combs-who has denied any wrongdoing-remains in jail awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who says he represents more than 100 sexual abuse victims of Combs, brought the suit on behalf of an anonymous Texas musician. In the complaint, the accuser alleges he performed at a nightclub in Los Angeles in hopes of securing a record deal with Bad Boy Records, but instead fell prey to a harrowing assault involving drugs, threatened violence, and coerced sexual acts.
"Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false," Diddy's attorneys told TMZ. "Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor."
The anonymous accuser says a representative of Combs offered him the chance to sign with Bad Boy if his performance impressed the hip-hop star. After the show, he joined Combs in a VIP section where drugs were allegedly present. The suit claims that Combs ordered a drink for him, which quickly caused the singer to black out. He then recalls glimpses of group sex taking place around him, including an instance where he believes Combs assaulted him.
According to the lawsuit, the accuser attempted to resist but was "threatened" with the destruction of his burgeoning music career. Ultimately, he fled upon being told to have sex with a woman at the party, pretending he needed the bathroom before making his escape. Buzbee filed claims of sexual battery and conspiracy, showing a photo of a small container said to have been used to dose victims with GHB.
This latest legal action joins a litany of allegations stretching back decades. On December 20, 2024, one plaintiff named LaTroya Grayson alleged she woke in a hospital with no memory after attending a 2006 New York party hosted by Combs. Another accuser in a separate case claimed she was sexually assaulted in 1991 "minutes before a fatal stampede broke out" at a charity basketball event. On November 16, 2023, Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape in 2018 and "complete control" over her life, settling the next day.
In numerous filings, Tony Buzbee and other attorneys have presented accusations claiming Combs orchestrated so-called "sex-trafficking parties" with underage individuals, directed violent acts such as car bombings, and used narcotics to incapacitate victims. Combs' team routinely rejects each of these claims as "pure fiction," and they emphasize contradictions in alleged timelines or documentary evidence.
Though many plaintiffs initially filed anonymously, various accounts have surfaced in media interviews and multiple streaming-service documentaries. Peers in the music industry, as well as bodyguards and acquaintances of the star, have also come forward with personal stories. The accusations have triggered widespread discussion regarding power dynamics and exploitation within the entertainment world.
