Kim Kardashian is severing direct communication with ex-husband Kanye West following his recent online attacks on Beyoncé and Jay-Z's children, as tensions between the former couple continue to escalate.

The SKIMS founder is "appalled" by West's comments regarding the couple's 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, according to a source who spoke exclusively with Page Six. "Kim has had enough and she's done trying to be reasonable with Kanye when it comes to communication," the insider said.

West, who now goes by Ye, drew backlash after posting an inflammatory message on X, formerly known as Twitter, questioning the mental capacity of Jay-Z and Beyoncé's children. The rapper deleted the post, only to repost it early Wednesday morning.

He later clarified his motive for taking down the original message. "I need everyone to know that I took the post about Jay Z and Beyoncé's family down ... because there was a possibility of my Twitter being cancelled [sic]," West wrote, indicating that the removal was strategic rather than remorseful.

Kardashian, 44, reportedly found the posts "shocking and offensive" and believes that "no matter what feud Kanye has going on with Jay and Beyoncé, kids are off limits," the source said.

This latest incident follows a separate dispute between Kardashian and West involving their eldest daughter, North West. Over the weekend, West shared a new track titled "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine," featuring vocals from North, as well as appearances by Sean "Diddy" Combs and his son Christian "King" Combs. Kardashian reportedly sought legal action to block the release.

West further inflamed tensions by sharing what appeared to be a screenshot of a text conversation with Kardashian, in which he criticized her for trademarking their daughter's name and declared, "I'm never speaking with you again." The post was later deleted.

Kardashian, who finalized her divorce from West in November 2022, has reportedly been attempting to maintain some level of direct communication with her ex-husband up until now. However, following the latest developments, she has decided it is best to limit contact. "Kim thinks it's best for now to only communicate through mediators," the source told Page Six.

West and Kardashian, who married in Florence, Italy, in 2014, share four children together. Reps for both parties have not responded to requests for comment regarding the recent controversies.
