Justin Bieber made a high-profile return to the public eye on Sunday, attending Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference semifinals with wife Hailey Bieber in Toronto, just days after breaking his silence regarding speculation surrounding Sean "Diddy" Combs' ongoing sex trafficking trial. The couple were photographed courtside at Scotiabank Arena as the Toronto Maple Leafs fell 6-1 to the Florida Panthers.

The 31-year-old Canadian singer appeared upbeat, wrapping his arm around the 28-year-old model while the two smiled for cameras and posed in team gear. Hailey wore a blue Leafs jacket, while Bieber sported a bright orange coat and a cream-colored bucket hat. "Let's go, baby," Justin cheered in a backstage video posted to Instagram Stories as they made their way to their seats.

Bieber, a longtime supporter of the Maple Leafs, shared multiple posts from the game, including a photo captioned, "I'm a slut for these boys," and another reflecting on the team's performance: "I don't remember a time in my life when I haven't been obsessed with the leafsssss... I can be patient cuz I know this is the team to do it."

The outing comes as Bieber continues to field public scrutiny following the May 5 start of Combs' federal trial in New York City. On May 16, Bieber's representative issued a statement addressing rumors that he may have been a victim of Combs. "Although Justin is not among Sean Combs' victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him," the spokesperson said. "Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve."

Speculation had mounted following the resurfacing of a video from years prior in which a then-teenage Bieber was filmed in an interview with Combs discussing plans to spend "48 hours together," prompting concern from fans. Another clip appeared to show Combs urging Bieber to keep the details of their hangout private.

As Combs faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, including testimony from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accusing him of rape and abuse, the former music mogul's legal team continues to deny all charges. "Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," his attorneys said.

Meanwhile, the Biebers have remained visibly united. A source told People magazine, "Hailey is not on the verge of wanting a divorce or leaving him... she's sad about how hard everyone is being on him now that he finally is coming back out of his shell." The couple, who married in 2018 and welcomed son Jack Blues in August 2024, also appeared at Coachella and the Met Gala in recent weeks.

Earlier on Sunday, Bieber shared a snapshot of a golf game with his father Jeremy Bieber, who joked in a post, "Right when I get better so does he. #darnit  gg ."
