Hailey Bieber publicly pushed back against persistent rumors surrounding her marriage to Justin Bieber, calling the constant speculation about a looming divorce "a crazy life to live" and detailing the emotional toll of navigating postpartum life under public scrutiny.
In a wide-ranging interview published Wednesday, the 28-year-old model and entrepreneur addressed the wave of online chatter about her relationship. "Learning to live with a new version of myself is very difficult," Hailey said. "And having to do all this while you're reading falsehoods like 'They're getting divorced' or 'They're no longer happy together' on the Internet is something that really freaks you out."
The Rhode founder, who welcomed son Jack Blues Bieber in August 2024, revealed that both her pregnancy and the postpartum period were emotionally intense. "The postpartum phase is the most delicate period I have ever gone through in my life," she said. "The pregnancy was hard for me to accept. It was a surprise. And you have to deal with so many emotions... You realize your life will never be the same again."
This marks the second time in recent months that Hailey has used a high-profile interview to address divorce rumors. In a May interview with Vogue, she said, "Well, I thought seven years in it would've already, and it hasn't. You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no."
Hailey's remarks come as her husband, Justin Bieber, 31, continues to face reports of financial instability following the cancellation of his Justice Tour in 2022. According to recent reports, Bieber reached a financial settlement with his former manager Scooter Braun, agreeing to pay $31.5 million to cover losses tied to the canceled tour and unpaid commissions.
The timing of Hailey's $1 billion sale of her Rhode skincare line to e.l.f. Beauty in May further fueled speculation about their marital dynamic and finances. A representative for Hailey later issued a statement clarifying: "The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs."
Despite the noise, the couple continues to project a united front. Justin shared a personal apology on Instagram after a past fight in which he doubted Hailey's future success. Reflecting on her Vogue cover, he wrote: "I told hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes I know, so mean... So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a Vogue cover cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken."
Hailey also praised Justin's experience in the spotlight. "He's been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know," she said. "He was like, 'Baby, trust me, I've been here before many, many times. You're not going to win. There is no winning.'"
Justin returned the compliment, saying, "She's in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy."
