The 29-year-old model appeared on the season three premiere of Therapuss, hosted by Jake Shane, where she spoke candidly about parenting, her evolving temperament as a first-time mother and her hopes for a larger family with the pop star.
Jack Blues, born in August 2024, featured prominently in her anecdotes. "He says 'basketball' all the time," Hailey Bieber said, recalling a recent morning routine. "I went to get him up from his nap today, and he was like 'basketball'. It's insane. So funny."
She added that her son has recently begun saying "please," after months of communicating it through sign language. "He knew how to sign 'please' for a really long time," she explained, demonstrating the gesture. The transition from sign to speech, she suggested, has been one of the quieter milestones that caught her by surprise.
Jack's birth was previously described by a source close to the couple in comments to People magazine: "They're both overjoyed. The baby is such a miracle... The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for." The couple, married since 2018, have largely shielded their son from public exposure, sharing only selective details about their home life.
On Therapuss, Hailey Bieber framed motherhood as both expected and unpredictable. "I always knew I wanted kids, I always wanted to be a mom," she said. "And then when it happens, you never know what to expect and you don't know what it's going to be like. And it honestly, it's so much fun."
She also acknowledged the uncertainty inherent in parenting. "It's a whole bunch of you just don't know what's going to happen until you get there," she said. Reflecting on her own personality, she added, "I feel like I'm a lot more relaxed as a mom than I thought I would be. I think especially as a first time mom."
The conversation turned to whether the Biebers plan to expand their family. Hailey Bieber was direct but cautious. "I definitely do want one more," she said, before adding, "I'm not in a rush, but I definitely want one more. Maybe I'll have four more. Maybe I'll have three. I don't know, I really don't know. I'm just taking it one day at a time."
