Nicole Kidman's reported decision to distance herself from Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster has resurfaced in Hollywood conversation after a major Australian concert announcement placed her husband, Keith Urban, alongside Jackman for one of the country's most anticipated charity events of the year.

The development follows weeks of speculation surrounding relationships within Australia's entertainment elite after reports suggested Kidman had aligned herself with Deborra-Lee Furness following Furness' split from Jackman. While none of the principal figures have publicly addressed the reports, the narrative gained fresh attention after organizers unveiled plans for a star-studded tribute to music legend John Farnham.

Keith Urban and Hugh Jackman are among more than 120 performers expected to participate in The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend - The Celebration Concert at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Sept. 20. The event will raise funds for Head and Neck Cancer Australia and honor Farnham, who underwent extensive treatment and jaw reconstruction following an oral cancer diagnosis in 2022.

In promotional materials highlighted by The Hollywood Reporter Australia, Jackman praised the event as "an incredible event to honour one of the great Australians." Urban echoed the sentiment, describing Farnham as "completely peerless as a singer, an entertainer, an artist."

The concert announcement arrives amid continuing fascination with the fallout from Jackman's separation from Furness after nearly three decades of marriage. Reports linking Jackman to Broadway performer Sutton Foster have intensified scrutiny of his personal life, while friends and associates have found themselves drawn into speculation about divided loyalties.

Much of that attention stems from claims published by columnist Rob Shuter in his Naughty But Nice Substack following the Met Gala in May. Shuter reported that Kidman had effectively snubbed Jackman and Foster during the event and was "firmly Team Deb." According to the report, Kidman believed Furness "was deeply hurt by how everything unfolded."

Shuter further claimed, "Nicole isn't interested in pretending otherwise just because Hugh showed up with a new woman on his arm."

Those allegations remain unverified. No public footage or firsthand accounts have confirmed any confrontation or deliberate avoidance between Kidman, Jackman and Foster at the Met Gala. Nevertheless, the story gained traction because of Kidman's long-standing friendship with Furness.

The relationship predates Jackman's rise to international fame. Furness and Kidman became close during the early years of their careers, and Kidman has previously spoken about the support she received from Furness during significant periods of her personal life. Over time, that friendship evolved into a close bond between the two couples, with Kidman and Urban frequently appearing alongside Furness and Jackman at industry events and charity functions.

The latest developments have also sparked questions about whether Urban's participation alongside Jackman signals a different dynamic than the one being attributed to his wife. According to New Idea, one source familiar with the pair said, "Hugh and Keith don't see each other as much as they once did, but they are still great mates."

The same source added that "they both didn't hesitate to say yes to being part of this special celebration to an Aussie icon."
