'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 7 Episode 9 Spoilers: Team Stuck In A Time Storm

Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 9 is coming next week on ABC, with the title "As I Have Always Been." Within this episode, we're going to see Daisy, Coulson, and everyone else stuck in a time storm. Everything they say and do repeat; no matter how hard they try to avoid it.
In Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 9, a time storm seemingly damaged the Zephyr and drives it further towards destruction. Since they are in a time storm, Daisy and Coulson were forced to relive their failed attempts to save everyone over and over again.
They have to find a solution before it's too late, as the storm could swallow all of them. In order to make it to their next destination, Daisy and Coulson need to trust, have courage, and sacrifice from everyone on board. But then, everything comes down to having enough time.
The promo of the upcoming episode also shows the team stuck in the time storm. They go through the same cycle of events each time. Coulson watched them die one at a time and, then, make it out the loop. Everything repeats so he and Daisy must figure out how to get out of this before it's too late.
Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 9 is directed by series star Elizabeth Henstridge, making her TV directorial debut. This is an opportunity for her to be more involved in the series -- on and off cam. The show allowed cast members to do this, with Clark Gregg directing several episodes in the past.
Henstridge will spend most of her time working with Gregg and Chloe Bennet within this episode. All of them have been together since the beginning of the series. So, they're all familiar with what it's like to work alongside each other.
Meanwhile, in a previous Marvel interview, Henstridge teased we're going to see more of Fitz in the future and her character, Jemma Simmons, has some roles in it. There are a lot of questions surrounding this character, including where he is and what he's been up to.
Henstridge said we'll find out more about Fitz and some of the information about him comes from Jemma. The actress teased that all of these might be revealed in the next couple of episodes. But, while some information comes from her, others will directly come from Fitz himself.
Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 9 airs on Wednesday night, July 22, on ABC.
