Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 8 is set to arrive next week on ABC, with the title "After, Before." There are a lot of things to be excited about this episode, with one of the characters getting a spotlight in the story. This installment would be Yo-Yo's big moment in quite a long time.
In Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 8, Yo-Yo might be a big help to the team and she could be the only person who could save them. However, one of her biggest problems is that she doesn't have her powers and it would take some time for her to save the day.
Based on the synopsis, the Zephyr's time drive is malfunctioning and the team is moving forward to the disaster. Yo-Yo might be their only hope to stop this from happening. But then, the problem is that she does not have her powers.
The only solution to get her power back is to enlist the help of an old adversary. In doing that, she needs to revisit part of her that has long been hidden away. The promo of Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 8 revealed that Dichen Lachman returns as Daisy Johnson's Inhuman mother, Jiaying.
In the clip, Melinda May and Yo-Yo head to the Afterlife, the Inhuman community on Earth, to search for Jiaying. They hope that Jiaying and the community could help them understand and figure out why Yo-Yo lost her powers. In addition, they must find a way for them to go back.
Jiaying's return is another surprise in the final run of the series, given that she hasn't been part of the story since season 2. Now, the show will shed some light on her life many years ago before she tried to destroy the SHIELD. While the promo didn't reveal when this takes place, it could be some time in the '80s.
Aside from Jiaying, the promo also teased that Gordon -- a teleporting Inhuman in season 2 -- is coming back. The clip showed him teleporting Jiaying out of the quinjet. Their returns could hopefully help Yo-Yo with her problems and solve the mystery as to why her powers were missing.
The promo also featured the team, including LMD Coulson, dealing with the issue about the time drive. It looks like the episode will feature a lot of action-packed scenes, as well as big moments. Perhaps, Jiaying's return also allows Daisy another chance to see her mother.
Agents of SHIELD season 7 episode 8 airs on Wednesday night, July 15, on ABC.
