The long wait is almost over. With just a couple of months left until "Shark Tank" returns, ABC has announced the official line-up of guest sharks to join the reality television series' upcoming season 10.
Viewers will continue to see the six main sharks - Kevin O'Leary, Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner - rotate throughout the 10th season. To spice things up a bit, they will be joined by the three new guest sharks, namely, Matt Higgins, Charles Barkley and Jamie Siminoff.
The first guest shark, Matt Higgins, is the CEO of RSE Ventures, a private firm that incubates and invests in several companies across different industries. He also launched several companies, including the annual summer soccer tournament called International Champions Cup.
That being said, Matt Higgins was recognized by Crain's New York as one of the top 40 executives under 40 in New York in 2007. He is also supposed to be an avid fan of the long-running reality TV show and has been following it since it premiered in August 2009.
"'Shark Tank' speaks to the endless possibilities available to anyone who has a dream and the courage to put aside fear and go for it," Matt Higgins said in a statement obtained by Inquisitr. "There is no ceiling on what you can achieve... Success in life is not determined by where you start out, or even where you end up, but by how much distance you cover along the way."
The second one, Charles Barkley, is a retired professional basket player who is currently an analyst on "Inside the NBA." According to WTVY, he recently invested $1 million to black female entrepreneurs in Alabama who wants to start internet and technology businesses.
The third guest shark, Jamie Siminoff, joined "Shark Tank" in 2013 wherein he pitched his idea for a Wi-Fi-enabled video doorbell called "Ring," but to no avail. After the main and guest sharks turned him down, he sold the "Ring" to Amazon for more than a billion dollars and continued innovating other home security products.
In November 2013, Jamie Siminoff came on Shark Tank valuing his WiFi enabled video doorbell at $7 million. Four sharks passed & @kevinolearytv offered his typical loan/royalty deal. Siminoff passed. That company became @ring & today sold for more than $1 billion to Amazon. pic.twitter.com/U8T4ZUCmf0 — Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) February 28, 2018
