A bittersweet news awaits all "Seven Deadly Sins" fans. The fantasy manga series, which was written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki, is coming to an end soon.
Manga creator Nakaba Suzuki, himself, confirmed the shocking news. In an interview with Kadokawa's Da Vinci magazine, as cited by Anime News Network, the 41-year-old manga artist shared his plans on concluding "The Seven Deadly Sins" in about a year.
He went ahead to reveal that he had planned the ending ever since the first chapter was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in October 2011. Thus, he assured everyone that the end would be worth it.
When asked whether he plans to create a sequel to the manga, Nakaba Suzuki said that it would entirely depend upon the magazine's editors. As of this time, he is already planning on his next work, which is probably a baseball manga.
"Seven Deadly Sins" follows Elizabeth Liones' journey as she looks for the Seven Deadly Sins, the strongest group of knights, and enlist their help in reclaiming the Kingdom of Liones from the Holy Knights.
The manga series is currently on its 276th chapter, which marked the beginning of an intense battle. In the said chapter, Derieri revealed to Elizabeth Liones that all she wanted was to live for Monspeet.
She, then, risked her life to extract the commandments from Mael. However, her effort goes to waste when Mael suddenly stepped in and stopped her. He, then, used Kyusai no Ya and pierced Derieri's heart.
Now, the spoilers for the 277th chapter of "Seven Deadly Sins" is here and it suggests that the next chapter will shift to Ban (the Sin of Greed) and Meliodas' (the Sin of Wrath) struggles as they attempt to bypass the Demon King.
It remains to be seen if Ban and Meliodas can make it out alive considering the Demon King's abilities. As fans will recall, the ruler of the Demon Clan possesses terrifyingly massive amounts of power.
He can even absorb and deflect all magical energy from attacks that are sent at him and has powerful control over the elements. He also can telepathically communicate with his followers even while still sealed in Purgatory. He always brings with him an enormous broadsword.
The 277th chapter of "Seven Deadly Sins," titled "There is No Way to Free Oneself from Love," is set to arrive on Aug. 8, Wednesday.
