The cast of "Crazy Rich Asians" brought their characters' glamour to life at the red carpet premiere of the film at TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Tuesday, August 7. True to its title, the stars showed their class with their high fashion outfits and lavish accessories.
"Crazy Rich Asians," based on Kevin Kwan's bestselling book of the same title, mentioned a lot of expensive brands known today. From Giambattista Valli, Saint Laurent, to the famous posh brands in Paris, the characters have good taste.
So it is not surprising to see "Crazy Rich Asians" cast members live to its name. Led by Constance Wu, the 36-year-old star was wearing a silver sparkling Ralph & Russo couture gown with fringed sleeves, per Time. Matching the off-the-shoulder ensemble with a pair of Sophia Webster heels and a hand-crafted Lorraine Schwartz jewel specially made just for her; she was looking fancy.
Her "Crazy Rich Asians" lover, Henry Golding, on the other hand, looked dapper with his light blue Tom Ford suit jacket. The 31-year-old British-Malaysian actor paired it with a button down white polo, a black bow tie, and black pants that proved he is the perfect actor for the role.
Michelle Yeoh also looked stunning with her black and aubergine tiered Armani Privé gown. However, the iconic actress seemed to be more excited about her stunning 'Crazy Rich Asians' watch.' "It has a flower that blossoms [on the hour]. It's Richard Mills. It costs $1.8 million," she told Entertainment Tonight.
Also, Awkwafina caught everyone's attention with her dusty pink Reem Acra ball gown. Gemma Chan was a showstopper with her sequined Oscar de la Renta sheath dress that genuinely dazzled. She paired it with a silver bag that contained her phone, lipstick, and gum.
Other stars that graced the red carpet premiere of "Crazy Rich Asians" were Victoria Loke, who donned a yellow Preen by Thornton Bregazzi paired with silver strappy heels. Sonoya Mizuno also looked elegant with her black tube dress with ruffles.
Kris Aquino proved how "Crazy Rich Asians" she is with her overflowing bright yellow gown. Fiona Xie successfully stunned everyone with her black tulle dress. Carmen Soo and Jing Lusi both opted for multi-patterned outfits.
Of course, Kwan himself attended the red carpet premiere of "Crazy Rich Asians" movie adaptation. The 68-year-old author was with Jimmy O. Yang, and they both chose to wear snazzy blazers. Nico Santos also made his presence felt and wore a blue suit. He accessorized it with a multi-colored handkerchief and a pin of the Philippine flag.
"Crazy Rich Asians" will hit the theaters on Aug. 15.
