Things are not looking good for the Survey Corps. The spoilers and predictions for the next episode of "Attack on Titan" season 3 are here, teasing fans about Erwin Smith (voiced by Daisuke Ono) and his tragic fate.

In the latest episode, Historia Reiss (voiced by Shiori Mikami) revealed to the Scouts that she was born as the illegitimate daughter of Rod Reiss (voiced by Yara Yuusaku) as she candidly opened up about her childhood. She also talked about the death of her mother in the hands of Kenny the Ripper (voiced by Kazuhiro Yamaji).

The scene, then, shifted to Rod Reiss asking forgiveness to Historia Reiss about what happened in the past. He also said that Historia Reiss must overthrow the government and reclaim the throne since she is the rightful queen - to which Hange Zoe (Romi Park) and Erwin Smith agreed to.

To do this, Erwin Smith proposed to Dot Pyxis (voiced by Masahiko Tanaka) that the military stage a coup d'etat. While reluctant at first, the Garrison Regiment's top officer eventually agreed after revealing their plan to have Historia Reiss as a Queen.

It was also revealed that Erwin Smith's father was executed for getting close to a truth that the government wanted to be covered up. Based on his father's theories, he concluded that the memories of humanity were altered 107 years ago to erase knowledge of the outside world.

As they continue discussing plans to overthrow the government, Erwin Smith was suddenly called out by the First Interior Squad for the murder of Dimo Reeves. Before leaving, he named Hange Zoe (Romi Park) as his successor.

In the next episode of "Attack on Titan," the Survey Corps will do whatever it takes to locate and save Historia Reiss and Eren Yeager (voiced by Yuki Kaji). As per the Anime Scrolls, the group must protect the latter before he the enemies acquire his Titan powers and abilities.

On top of that, the next episode will also see Erwin Smith condition in the capital. As seen in the 15-minute preview, the 13th commander of the Survey Corps is presented beaten and kneeling in front of King Fritz and the Assembly of the Royal Government.

The fourth episode of "Attack on Titan" season 3, titled "Trust," is set to arrive on Monday, Aug. 13.
