Veteran actor Chow Yun Fat is ready to face the cameras again about two years after the release of his last film, "From Vegas to Macau III." This time, he will reunite with actor-singer, Aaron Kwok.

Chow Yun Fat and Aaron Kwok, who co-starred in the 2016 crime thriller film "Cold War 2," are teaming up for the upcoming action film, "Project Gutenberg." It is written and directed by filmmaker Felix Chong Man-Keung.

The action film follows a talented painter, Lee Man (Aaron Kwok), who teams up with a gang leader, Painter (Chow Yun Fat), for a worldwide counterfeiting currency operation. The mission goes into awry when the Hong Kong police - led by Dick Liu Kai Chi, Zhang Jingchu and Catherine Chau's characters - begins hunting them.

"I have not play such a (villainous) role for a long time," Chow Yun Fat said in a recent interview, as quoted by China Daily. "It was very exciting," he added.

"Project Gutenberg" will feature several scenes from Hong Kong, Thailand and Canada. Aside from some thrilling action scenes, it will also showcase a detailed process of how counterfeit bills are made.

Aside from the characters mentioned above, the much-awaited film will also see Alex Fong, Dmitry Mazur, Liu Kai Chi, Daniel Jaquez, Diego España, Alien Sun, Javier Hernandez, Joyce Feng, Carl Ng, Justin Cheung and Deno Cheung. It is set to be released on Sept. 30.

After "Project Gutenberg," Aaron Kwok will star next in Philip Yung's crime thriller film, "Theory of Ambitions," along with Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Michael Hui, Patrick Ham, Michael Chow, Louis Cheung, Du Juan and Michael Ning. Ron Ng, Elaine Jing, Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee, Tse Kwan-Ho, Jessie Li, Stephen Ho, Lam Yiu Sing, Belinda Yan and Wan Yeung Min will also star in the film.

Set in the 1960s, "Theory of Ambitions" follows an average man, Lui Lok (Aaron Kwok), who becomes a police officer to uphold justice, but the rampant corruption within the industry made it impossible for him.

Due to this, Lui Lok along with a fellow policeman, Nam Kong (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai), make a name for themselves within the police force by controlling organized crime. The two soon becomes Chinese Chief Detective of Kowloon / New Territories and Hong Kong Island.

No specific release date has been set, but "Theory of Ambitions" is expected to hit the silver screen before the year ends.
