Zhu Yilong continues to gain popularity after jumpstarting his career 10 years ago. The Chinese actor is best known for appearing in several drama productions such as “Border Town Prodigal” and “As Flowers Fade And Fly Across The Sky.”
The stars continue to align for the 30-year-old actor, the latest of which is making the covers of a fashion magazine, Our Street Style. Photos of Zhu popped up on the magazine’s official Weibo account and shared online by China Daily.
Born in Wuhan, Hubei Province, Zhu made his debut as an assassin in Zai Shen Yuan. He went on to appear in several short films from there such as “The Snatched Bride,” “Blood-Colored Deep Mansion,” “Curse of the Blood Jade” and “Terror Eyes.”
But of all the roles that Zhu took on, it was his role on the “Da Ming Pin Fei” series and portraying the role of General Junshi in “Legend of Daming Palace” that helped him gain prominence. His fame grew with other succeeding roles in films such as “Love Three Lives” in 2014 and the “Legend of Mi Yue” in 2015.
His role on “Love Three Lives” was notable since this earned him the Most Anticipated Actor award at the Asian Influence Awards Oriental Ceremony while his role as Yung Ji on “Legend of Mi Yue” further increased his recognition.
After a storied acting career, Zhu has finally gotten his due. He does have the looks and has taken on roles impressively, Drama Panda said. The latest was his starring role opposite Bai Yu in “Guardian” which premiered on Youku last June 13. The fantasy web drama didn’t exactly impress regarding ratings although his fan base remains loyal. He portrayed three roles in the series, and his surge in popularity earned him the Popular Actor Award at the 2018 Weibo Night.
With the strong following, Zhu is undoubtedly one of the top stars that marketing firms can surely benefit from. Aside from the recent photo shoots on “Our Street Style,” he has also appeared on the Nasdaq big screen in Times Square, New York – a sign that his international influence has been expanding, the Perfect Investor said.
There is no slowing down Zhu with several projects coming up. This includes a period drama titled “The Story of Ming Lan and a romance melodrama, “Granting You a Dreamlike Life.” More are expected to come his way as the hardworking Chinese actor continues to excel and endear himself to his crowd of fans.
