Jing Tian, a Chinese actress on the rise, is best remembered for several films on the international scene. For the last 10 years, she has been gaining prominence in Hollywood taking on starring roles on popular films such as “Pacific Rim: Uprising” and “Kong: Skull Island.”

As far as star level, Jing has been given supporting roles which she has portrayed with gusto. Some question her ability to take on lead roles although she has proven to be a promising actress in a couple of films like “The Glory of Tang Dynasty” in 2017. Thus far, she is the only Hollywood International Award Winner, something to recognize her cinematic talent.

But there were also bumps along the way for Jing. This includes being nominated for Most Disappointing Actress at the Golden Broom Awards thrice and winning it twice. Though it hardly counts as an accomplishment, it only shows that the 30-year-old actress has lots of ground to cover.

Despite the ups and downs, the budding Chinese actress is undoubtedly one of the top Asian stars right now. That said, it comes to no surprise that Jing Tian made the cover of Our Street Style fashion magazine, showing off her dazzling beauty and flair. The photos were shared via the magazine’s official Weibo account with most seen on China Daily.

Though her rise to fame has been erratic, TV Overmind says that she may not be entirely to blame. The actual films where she appears are partly to blame, apparently referring to their reception to the viewers. The fact that she portrays supporting roles in these supposedly high-profile films pushes her deeper down the line and behind the main protagonists. Could all that chance once she gets more starring roles? There is a strong possibility.

Jing entered the film industry in 2008. With 10 years tucked under her belt, critics believe that she needs to do more to establish her reputation. The recent choice of her to appear in a fashion magazine could help her stock, perhaps an indication that she is one of the rising actresses already with a following. The Chinese actress is up there, waiting to get over the hump. It could be on the big screen or TV, depending on offers that come her way.

Her last major role was on “Pacific Rim: Uprising.” To date, there is no word on what next film she may star in. As far as TV roles, her last was “The Glory of Tang Dynasty.” There is a couple of TV series she is reportedly involved with (“The King of Blaze” and “The Geek Is On The Run”), but an actual release date has yet to be announced.
