Gwen Stefani, who joined "The Voice" as a coach in 2014, announced her departure from the singing competition television series after the 12th season. Now, the real reason why she suddenly left the show has surfaced online.
According to Life & Style Magazine, the 48-year-old singer-songwriter was always bickering with her boyfriend and fellow "The Voice" coach, Blake Shelton, while pitching themselves to contestants. This was the reason why the latter asked her to entirely leave the NBC show for the sake of their relationship.
"Gwen and Blake don't fight much at home, but when they were on 'The Voice' they disagreed and butted heads a lot," an unnamed insider told Life & Style Magazine, as quoted by Gossip Cop. "It didn't always make for a great environment, and Blake told her he wasn't sure it was a good idea for them to work together anymore," the insider added.
Many fans have also noticed that the show was focusing more on Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's relationship rather than searching for a gifted singer. It is also speculated that their entire dating life is all a publicity stunt to drive up ratings for the NBC singing competition television series.
As of this time, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have yet to comment on the matter. Also, both of them are said to be very busy with their respective careers.

Instead of signing up for another season, the "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" hitmaker embarked on her Las Vegas residency. The tour, dubbed "Just a Girl," kicked off last June 27 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The second leg of the "Just a Girl" concert tour will have four dates - Dec. 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st, while the third and final leg will have nine shows that will begin in February 2019 and end mid-March.
Gwen Stefani and show promoters Live Nation Las Vegas will also donate $1 from each ticket purchased to Cure 4 the Kids Foundation. The funds will help the foundation in providing further medical treatment to children with life-threatening conditions.
Blake Shelton, on the other hand, is gearing up for the 15th season of "The Voice." He will once again serve as a coach along with Adam Levine, "American Idol" alumnus Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson.
"The Voice" season 15 premieres on Sept. 24, Monday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
