It looks like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are now ready to step up their relationship. The two are reportedly engaged after more than a year of dating.

It came to light when a source told In Touch Magazine (via Gossip Cop) that the couple got engaged a week ago while they were in Capri, Italy. The 43-year-old former professional baseball shortstop reportedly popped the question during a romantic boat ride around the island.

It is also said that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are now both busy preparing for their dream wedding. While nothing is finalized yet, the two are planning to seal their romance in a lavish wedding ceremony with more than 250 guests.

This is not the first time the couple has been plagued with engagement rumors. In July, the "Dinero" singer posted a photo of her wearing a ring in her Instagram account - igniting engagement rumors.

However, Jennifer Lopez maintained that she and Alex Rodriguez are just enjoying their relationship and in no rush to walk down the aisle despite numerous engagement rumors. Both of them are also busy with their respective careers and taking care of their kids.

"We have to take our time," she said in an interview with Good Morning America (via PEOPLE). "I've made plenty of mistakes in my past. We're mature now. We're grown-ups, and we're going to take our time, and we're going to do things at our own pace," she added.

Jennifer Lopez has been married three times - to Cuban waiter Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, backup dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2002 and singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. She and Marc Anthony share 10-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

Alex Rodriguez, on the other hand, married Cynthia Scurtis in 2012. After years of being together, they got divorced in July 2018. They have two daughters together: Natasha Alexander and Ella Alexander.

In other news, the "Shades of Blue" star is set to headline an untitled television film for HBO, which will recount the life of a Colombian drug lord, Griselda Blanco Restrepo. She will also star in Peter Segal's upcoming romantic comedy film, "Second Act."

In "Second Act," she plays an ordinary woman, Maya, who is stuck in a low-paying job. Her life turns upside down when a private finance firm is misled into believing that she is an accomplished consultant and enlists her to handle a significant business deal. It is set to be released on Nov. 21.
