It looks like a new friendship is about to be born to save the world in "Avengers 4." In a past interview with Karen Gillan, she revealed her character, Nebula, will have a new "BFF" who she will work with to fight Thanos (Josh Brolin).
Fans have been looking into past interviews to get some clue about the upcoming "Avengers 4." And one of the most significant revelations is from Gillan herself. The 30-year-old star's character, Nebula, Thanos' adopted daughter, plays a big role in the movie franchise, but it looks like something bigger is about to come.
"I know who her new BFF is," Gillan teased about Nebula's new close friend in "Avengers 4," via MovieWeb. "And I can't tell you. I can't."
Although the former "Doctor Who" star didn't reveal who is Nebula's new BFF in "Avengers 4," she hinted the newly formed friendship would be brilliant, unexpected, and "just so good." "I don't know about any frenemies," she added.
Gillan went on saying everyone in "Avengers 4" would be in a mission to bring Thanos down. So the heroes would work together to do this task. So who could be Nebula's new BFF?
Nebula was stranded with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) on Titan at the end of "Avengers: Infinity War." So there are theories these two would form a new friendship. There is a big possibility Nebula, and Iron Man would work together to find their way back to Earth. Also, Tony might have a big interest in Nebula's cyborg elements.
According to Inverse, Nebula's serious attitude may find Tony's ego annoying. But she perfectly knows she has to work with him so they can return to Earth and work with the remaining Avengers in "Avengers 4." Gillan's character may do everything to do bring Thanos down. Tony, too, may come with a plan on how they will do it when they work together.
There is also a possibility Nebula will work with other female characters like Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Okoye (Danai Gurira), or Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), if she happens to return to "Avengers 4." Just like Tony, Shuri (Letitia Wright) may also show interest to Nebula's cyborg body and may give her some upgrades.
Knowing Nebula is the only one who knows where the Soul Stone is being kept aside from Thanos, she has to work with somebody to get to Vormire before the intergalactic warlord does. "Avengers 4" will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
