Wilmer Valderrama, Demi Lovato's ex-boyfriend, is angry about her alleged drug dealer, Brandon Johnson. He wants Johnson to stay away from Lovato her near-fatal drug overdose permanently.
"Wilmer is furious about the comments made by Demi's alleged drug dealer boyfriend," a source close to Valderrama told HollywoodLife. "Wilmer still has a lot of love for Demi and is very protective of her. He wants to find the guy and make him pay for what he did to Demi."
The source also said that Valeramma feels like Johnson should be responsible for Lovato's situation and for almost putting her to death. He is to the authorities, management of Lovato, and lawyers to make sure that the alleged drug dealer should be punished.
"Above all else, Wilmer is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure this guy never gets close to Demi again," the source continued. Lovato's ex-beau also wants Johnson to get what he deserves, and he's making sure he does not get near her again.
The source further noted that Valderrama is not convinced Lovato and Johnson ever had a legitimate relationship or any physical intimacy. He wanted to stay away from her forever as he feels that Johnson took advantage of Lovato.
"He is angry and wants this guy to pay," the source concluded.
As per DailyMail, Johnson has claimed Lovato knew what she was ingesting and the risks she was taking on the night she overdosed. He claimed that that the singer texted him around 4 A.M. asking him to come over, where he brings narcotics that they then smoked - also known as 'freebasing - drugs together. He insisted he had no knowledge that they were laced with anything else.
According to Johnson, the pills came from Mexico, which were reportedly laced with fentanyl which is described as "is an opioid used as a pain medication and together with other medications for anesthesia."
Johnson insisted they did drugs together many times before and even had a "sexual relationship." But, sources dismissed his claim of a sexual relationship to TMZ.
As for Valderrama, even though he chose to keep his distance while Lovato was in the rehab, he still wanted to be there for her as a friend in every step of the way. It's inspiring to see, despite their past romance, that Valderrama put behind the reasons why they broke up and still care for her.
