A lot of celebrities are paying tribute as news of the death of Senator John McCain broke. Although some do not always agree with his political views and opinions, a lot of people still consider that the 81-year-old was a hero. Jamie Foxx, in particular, shared an old clip of him dancing with the fallen leader.

On his Instagram account, Foxx surprised his fans by posting both a video and a touching tribute to McCain. In the video, the two can be seen on stage at a charity event, dancing and having a good time, even busting out the robot move. It's clear to see that both of them are having a great time during those times.

What's more is that the caption of Foxx shared some sweet words, such as "R.I.P. you are a HERO!"

The epic dance video post gathered the attention of more than five million followers of Foxx on Instagram. A lot of them commented on the dancing skills of the two, and others remembered the late Senator.

"Beyond POLITICS he was about HUMANITY, I respected him as a fellow VETERAN as well..despite our political affiliations. May his soul R.I.P..AMEN," one follower wrote.

"Thank you for sharing this! He will be so missed! What a stellar guy," another one commented.

According to the Inquisitr, McCain died after battling with advanced stage brain cancer for a long time. The late Senator died at his home in Sedona, Arizona. His family surrounded him at the time of his death.

His family released a statement of his passing the day after, where they said McCain would stop receiving treatments for cancer. He stopped medical treatment one day before his death, saying he wanted to live his last moments in peace surrounded by his family and loved ones.

As for McCains funeral details, he will lie in state in the Arizona Capitol and the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday and Friday, for residents to pay their respects.

His private funeral will then take place at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery in Annapolis this Sunday. Former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush will speak at his service at the National Cathedral.

As the news regarding McCain's death spread on social media, other celebrities including Former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, as well as many other Senators and political figures, also pay tribute to the Late Senator.

August 29, 2018, would have been McCain's 82nd birthday.
