Actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's friendship has been the envy of many over the years. However, it is being reported that things turned sour after the latter allegedly cut ties with the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star amidst rehab stint.
It came to light when a source revealed to Radar Online that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are no longer as close with each other as before. It is said that their different priorities in life caused strain in their friendship.
As per the source, "The Great Wall" star is currently focused on his wife, Luciana Barroso, and his children - Alexia, Isabella, Gia Zavala, and Stella. "The Accountant" star, on the other hand, is still living life in the fast lane. Due to this, the two never had the chance to bond with each other.
"[Rehab is something Ben Affleck" is going to have to do all alone," the source said. "Matt will always love Ben and thinks of him like a brother... Sometimes you have to step away to let people save themselves," the source added.
Gossip Cop, however, debunked it stating that there is no truth to those claims. Ben Affleck has previously opened up about his longtime friendship with Matt Damon on and off the screen.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck took the opportunity to let everyone know just how much he values her friendship with Matt Damon. He also thanked the latter for being by his side for most of his life.
"I can't tell you how valuable it is to have somebody who's been through things with you, ups and downs, who knows what your life experience is like, who can identify with that," the 46-year-old actor and filmmaker said. "It's an incredibly valuable friendship," he added.
On top of that, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are also teaming up for a true-crime story film about an ex-cop who steals millions of dollars after he rigs the bi-annual McDonald's Monopoly game. The former will direct the said film, while the latter plays the infamous ex-cop, Jerome Jacobson.
Both of them will serve as producers through their Pearl Street Company. "Deadpool's" Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are on board to write the script. No release date has been set yet.
