It has been three years since Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are enjoying their long-standing relationship. Since then, fans have been waiting for the official announcement of the couple's engagement, and of course, the wedding plans. As nothing official is coming out from the news, it is now a big question why the two are not getting married.
Shelton and Stefani are often the subjects of engagement and wedding rumors. Although the two have yet to confirm their plans, an insider revealed the couple is "all in" on their relationship, but marriage is not part of it.
According to 102.7 The Coyote, marriage is not Shelton and Stefani's top priority. It is not a surprise the couple has no plans to tie the knot yet after their messy breakups. To recall, Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce in July 2015 while Stefani and Gavin Rossdale filed theirs in August of the same year.
Allegedly, Stefani and Shelton want to "keep things simple" for now. They, too, are enjoying the "time of their lives," so there is no need to rush.
"There is no reason for them to rush into a marriage, so they aren't," a source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight earlier this year. Both Stefani and Shelton are "happy and content" with what they have right now. Their relationship is even stronger than before.
The source continued to say the couple is on the "cloud nine" and have found their real soul mates with each other. "They are perfect for each other," the insider said.
Stefani's kids with Rossdale are also not a problem. Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apollo, 4, all enjoy being with Shelton. The couple is also often spending quality time with the children in her Los Angeles home or in his house in Oklahoma.
Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo also love Shelton and now see him as their "father figure." The 42-year-old country singer is so sympathetic that Stefani's children should come first before anything.
Rossdale, too, is not a problem to Shelton and Stefani's relationship. The insider revealed the former couple is "very cordial" and perfectly works as co-parents.
Meanwhile, Stefani often accompanied Shelton to his "Country Music Freaks Tour." They were also spending quality time together while on the road.
The 48-year-old No Doubt's former frontwoman has been very supportive of his partner's career, which Shelton also does. The source added the two have each other's back in everything they do and "almost always" together.
