Magic Leap has finally made way to execute its longtime promise to launch a developer promise. According to Next Reality, the company already sent out invitations on August 30 for the L.E.A.P. conference, which will be held in Los Angeles in October.

The company's CEO has already teased the upcoming event these past few days. However, details have not been finalized yet, unlike the latest announcement. L.E.A.P. conference will be the very first event for creators, developers, partners, and pioneers worldwide. The event acronym reportedly stands for "learn, engage, accelerate, and program."

Here is the catch: the event is free of charge and will feature various corners such as demos, keynote event, networking, social events, and workshops. It is indeed an interesting event but some are concerned about how late this was announced. Considering this kind of conference must be announced well in advance, the sudden scheduling could make the event hastily organized.

While it was in the works for about a year, a month notice for developers and avid followers is not enough. On a brighter side, Magic Leap apparently believes the community is small enough that sending out an announcement a month before the kickoff would work. There were estimations that 3000 devices sold are even close.

Therefore, L.E.A.P. will potentially be just a small and intimate event compare to the ones conducted by Apple and Microsoft. As for the specific dates, the event will happen on Oct. 9 and 10. There will be a number of hotel rooms that are offered with special rates on a first come first serve basis.

At the moment, an exact detail of the event schedule is unavailable. Those who are interested to attend may go to the official registration page of the L.E.A.P. Conference. One can also send their inquiries to leapconference@magicleap.com.
