Xiaomi is one of today's finest brands because of its classy products that can suit one's budget. Now, the company is about to take a step further with Poco.

Poco, according to The Verge, is Xiaomi's newest budget-wise brand that will be used in India before promoting it worldwide. The very first Pocophone is called F1, which has all the flagship features such as the top of the line processor. But here is the catch! It was priced even lesser than most of the aggressively priced devices. Here are the specs:

1. High-end Snapdragon 845 chip

2. A substantial 4,000mAh battery

3. It's got a 6.18-inch 1080p display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio

4. A Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU

5. A 20-megapixel selfie cam

6. A dual rear 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras

All of these, from the F1, will be offered for only $300 when it arrives in India. The lead product manager for Xiaomi India named Jai Mani shared thoughts about their inspiration during the project. While developing the F1, he revealed that the company has checked the Reddit Forums and they saw comments such as desires of a bigger battery and a better processor. The commenter would then say no one will listen because they're just mere geeks.

In the end, the comments inspired the product team to incorporate the big battery and high-end processor to the Pocophone F1. This new product was competitively priced with One Plus 6, which became very popular in India since the release.

Several tech companies fall behind in developing markets but Xiaomi remained to show excellence especially in India. The above-mentioned source says the company grew over 106 percent annually while selling 3.3 million units in Q2 2018. Low-end Redmi 5A was sold in the country, defeating Oppo, Samsung, and Vivo.

Redmi 5A vs Pocophone F1

Compared to the Redmi 5A, the Pocophone F1 is a much premium offer. The Snapdragon 845 chip, which was mentioned earlier as F1's processor, is way more powerful than Redmi line. The display has decent color contrast and the maximum brightness setting is bright enough. However, one disadvantage for Poco is the use of Gorilla Glass 3.

It is an outdated nature of the glass as the latest one is Gorilla Glass 6. Aside from the handy one in its supply chain, this only demonstrates the cross-cutting method of Xiaomi. They are using the older ones to spend more on other significant components. Fanatics must watch out as the phone is going to be released soon.
