Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were seen together for two consecutive days on Monday, August 27, and Tuesday, August 28. And as expected, the outing sparked rumors that the former couple is now back on each other's arms.
Faris and Pratt were reportedly reunited by a gossip magazine when they were seen together with their son, Jack, in Santa Monica, California. But, Gossip Cop hit the report and cleared the two were not back together. It also pointed out the publication had no evidence to prove the claim.
Pratt even had dinner with his current girlfriend, Katherine Schwarzenegger, on Wednesday, August 29, a day after he and his ex-wife met. Faris, on the other hand, was seen with her boyfriend, Michael Barrett, who she has dated since November 2017.
From the looks of it, Faris and Pratt just spent time together and nothing romantic was going on. If truth be told, a source told People they are "extremely amicable" with each other, especially when it comes to co-parenting their six-year-old son.
"They are very friendly and seem happy when they are together with their son," the insider said.
To recall, Faris and Pratt announced their split in a joint statement on Facebook in August 2017. The two put an end to their eight years of marriage.
"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," the statement read. The couple went on explaining they tried their best to work it out for a long while, but nothing happened. So they admitted they were disappointed with the result.
Faris and Pratt then talked about their son and described how they love him "very much." And for the sake of the young boy, they would like to keep their split as "private as possible."
In spite of the break-up, Faris and Pratt revealed they still have the love for each other and they would always cherish their time together. They, too, would continue to have the "deepest respect" for one another.
After a year of calling it quits, Pratt started dating the 28-year-old daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger in June. The two were even seen grabbing brunch with the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star's son earlier this month.
A source, who saw Pratt and Katherine at the time, described they looked very attracted to each other. The "I Just Graduated" author was also seen spending more time with Jack as her relationship with the "Jurassic World" actor is developing.
