Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially back on their "good old PDA-filled way." The royal couple had a rare PDA moment during their 'Hamilton' event on Wednesday, August 29.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex displayed some rare PDA while at London's Victoria Palace Theatre for a gala performance of Hamilton, in support of Prince Harry's Sentebale charity. The two were posing in for photos along with the cast following the show. While the group was all on smiles, Prince Harry becomes sneaky as he put his hand on his wife's waist in a particular candid shot.
"They are not afraid to hold hands. They don't mind showing their emotions," said Mark Stewart, a longtime royal photographer.
Prince Harry's handsy moment can be considered a breach of royal protocol, wherein they should not be seen showing affection with each other such as hand-holding, kissing, or hugging in public. According to the royal rules order, arm-holding is about as intimate as royal couples can get while in public, especially in front of the queen.
As per HollywoodLife, the Duke of Sussex did not clearly show any of the things mentioned. It's clear to see, that while he has been known to bend some of the royal rules, he still acted appropriately. Apart from being a little bit PDA with his wife, Prince Harry featured breaking out in a little Hamilton karaoke onstage after curtain call.
"Meghan is used to being touchy-feely, and Harry is the same," said Dickie Arbiter, a former spokesperson for the royal family.
This is not also the first time the couple has been called out regarding royal protocol. On their entire courtship, they were always seen holding hand in every country they visit in the UK. They also shared a kiss before when Prince Harry won at the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup. The royal couple also had their sweetest PDA moments during their royal wedding.
Also, Markle has been previously criticized crossing her legs at the knee, instead of the ankle. This was seen on July at the Young Leaders Reception at Buckingham Palace while with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband.
During that same event, there is a video showing that Markle seems to be reaching for Prince Harry's hand, which is considered as another breach of protocol. However, the Duke of Sussex immediately clapped his hands together while they are walking behind the queen.
