The 2019 Lexus RC is already slated for its official launch in the coming the Paris Motor Show 2018 in October. It has been a while since the Lexus RC line underwent major changes but this time, Lexus is really making major tweaks in the 2019 model. Some of the most obvious changes, which can already be seen in a single glance, are the LC-inspired upgrades to its design. But going beyond mere cosmetic enhancements, the 2019 model promises to have better handling with the engineering tweaks done to the upcoming car particularly in its suspension and steering.

Just like its predecessor, the 2019 Lexus will remain a two-door coupe. However, the design cues from the LC grand tourer are undeniable this time t the point that even Autoindustria wrote that it looked like a Baby LC. But the publication did not mean it in a bad way as the makeover really produced one stunning car with of just the right amount of elegance and sophistication.

The car exterior has been retweaked which introduces a fresh new look to the line. The front bumper has been redesigned where some adjustments were done on how it meets the lower mesh and headlamps, as noted by Slash Gear. There are now L-shaped LED clearance lamps and one can even get triple LED headlamps but these are optional.

The rear look, on the other hand, experienced some design tweaks as well. For example, the modified rear lamps now sport more pronounced L-shaped lenses.

Other LC-inspired design enhancements are the new grille mesh for the 2019 RC F Sport model which will sport new 19-inch wheels. Meanwhile, Lexus announced that the 2019 RC will be available in a new color scheme, the Blue Vortex Metallic. This means that customers now have 10 color options for the 2019 model.

The car's interior will have some design changes as well. A new color scheme which Lexus calls the Dark Gray Streamline will be applied to the 2019 RC interior. It will affect the car's audio controls and the HVAC control panel. Meanwhile, the carmaker mentioned that the cabin will feel more spacious, thanks to the redesign of its knee pads, which will be larger. For those who don't prefer the darker Dark Gray Streamline trim, Lexus is offering seven other interior color schemes to its customers.

There will be engineering changes to the 2019 Lexus RC aimed at improving its road performance. For instance, the manufacturer promised sharper handling and a more stable ride thanks to the car's improved suspension system. These improvements include new shock absorbers as well as stiffer suspension bushings. Meanwhile, it is still unclear if the engine will be changed or if the new car will be fitted with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder or the 3.5-liter V6 found in current models.
