There is a new rumor surrounding Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's ongoing custody battle, and it may surprise the fans. Nicole Kidman is reportedly supporting the 43-year-old actress amid her high-profile divorce, and she is reportedly her new friend.
A gossip magazine claimed Jolie now finds an "unlikely ally." Allegedly, Kidman has her back as she continuously fights for the custody of her six children; Maddox (17), Pax (14), Zahara (13), Shiloh (12), and Vivienne and Knox (10).
A so-called insider revealed Kidman is praising Jolie's toughness and her approach to the custody war with Pitt. The "Maleficent" star's divorce supposedly reminds Kidman of her legal separation from Tom Cruise.
The insider added Kidman regrets she settles their divorce privately and too quickly. If she let it be as high-profile as Jolie and Pitt's, then she can have more of his money. So the 51-year-old Australian applauds the humanitarian's move to make it not easy for Pitt to go away.
"The way Angie is doing things is just completely different in Nicole's eyes," the tipster said. "Because she isn't letting Brad gets away with anything or uses his clout to silence her."
In spite of the claims, the source cleared Kidman has no hard feelings for Pitt. The "Big Little Lies" actress loves the way how Jolie is facing Pitt in court. It is also a sign that Jolie does not receive a check and ask to keep everything in private, which what happened to Kidman's divorce.
According to Radar Online, Kidman and Cruise's divorce is far more different from Jolie and Pitt's ongoing court battle. The "Days of Thunder" stars had an "ugly court battle," and both agreed to settle their divorce privately in 2001.
Kidman got "nice chunk" of Cruise's assets, but she could have more if she did not choose to end their marriage "amicably." At the time, the "The Others" star admitted she was "young and impulsive" as she fell in love with Cruise on the set of "Days of Thunder."
Gossip Cop debunked the theory Kidman is Jolie's new ally amid her custody and divorce battles with Pitt. The "Moulin Rouge" actress' 2013 interview with Vanity Fair possibly inspired this news. Here, she compared her relationship with Cruise to Jolie and Pitt's high-profile romance.
At the time, Kidman described her relationship with Cruise as "very intoxicating," but "deeply romantic. "I'm sure Brad and Angelina have that because there's nobody else that understands it except that person who's sleeping right next to you."
