Things were already heating up at this year's U.S. Open, but Joe Jonas and fiancée Sophie Turner made sure it was even hotter. That is because spectators were treated to a spicy PDA display from the celebrity couple.
Not only did they get the most of the moment, they also went very hammy with it. In a report from Time, the affectionate display happened on Friday at Serena and Venus Williams' third-round match. Turner was seen stuffed with a plaid top that seems to resemble a pregnant stomach. The publication suggests, however, that this could just be a visual gag intended for paparazzi.
After all, the "Game of Thrones" actress and former Jonas Brothers singer - and now DNCE frontman - are known for showing off their silly side. The PDA display during the tournament was definitely not an exception. It was even a comedy of gold.
Turner, 22, and Jonas, 29, were reportedly all over each other. At one point, the couple decided to lean in for a passionate kiss. Things escalated quickly when cameras finally caught their tangled tongues on full display.
According to Hollywood Life, their appearance at the U.S. Open was, in fact, a part of a double date, involving Joe's brother and former bandmate Kevin together with the latter's wife Danielle. In between stealing kisses, Joe and Sophie chatted with the fellow celebrity couple at their side. The party was also seen sipping beers and enjoying themselves with a few cocktails.
Sophie was dressed to impress in a black and white houndstooth suit, and her husband-to-be looked every bit of what a rock star he certainly is after wearing a Comme Des Garcons t-shirt. Kevin, on the other hand, kept it casual in simple black pants paired with a polka-dotted button-down shirt. Danielle was looking chic as ever, though. She donned a pink skirt and short-sleeved blouse to match.
Joe and Sophie's love affair started back in 2016. They were later officially engaged by October of 2017. The pair may have been all smiles at the tennis match, but as with any relationship, they have had their ups and downs, too.
On August 16, Turner was seen in tears while traversing around NYC with Jonas. The latter had his arm wrapped around the former as he comforted her. Still, this did not stop the rumors from stating that their relationship was on the rocks. Sophie cleared up any confusion immediately, though. "Thank god I have a loving fiance. Periods are a b***h," she wrote on Twitter at the time, blaming her tears on a simple case of PMS.
