"Counting On" fans were surprised when Jeremy Vuolo tagged Josiah Duggar's former girlfriend, Marjorie Jackson, in a post on Instagram. What made it more of a shocker was when his sister, Jinger Duggar, gifted her husband a present on his 31st birthday specially made by his brother's ex-lover.
From the looks of it, Jinger contacted Marjorie to create a special gift for Jeremy, Celebrity Insider reported. "A thoughtful birthday gift from my lovely wife," the latter said on Instagram as he shared a photo of it.
The gift was handwritten calligraphy of the words "Og mit liv," which means "and my life." Jeremy also revealed the story behind these words which is about the 17-year-old Norwegian named Peter Torjesen. The guy promised to go on gospel missions no matter how little money he had. He then gave his life to a mission field in China.
"Calligraphy by @marjorie.e.jackson," Jeremy ended his caption. The Marjorie he was pertaining to was the woman who Josiah courted a few years back. She was the same lady who broke up with him after Josh's multiple sex scandals reached the public.

When Peter Torjesen, a young Norwegian man, was 17 years old, he was challenged to financially support gospel missions. At a church service, he opened his wallet and placed all of its contents into the offering. After a brief moment of reflection, he placed something else into the offering: a piece of paper with the words written upon it, “Og mit liv” (“And my life”). Young Peter would go on to give his life on the foreign mission field in China. A valuable daily reminder that to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). || Calligraphy by @marjorie.e.jackson || A post shared by Jeremy Vuolo (@jeremy_vuolo) on Sep 5, 2018 at 8:57pm PDT
Josiah started to court Marjorie in 2015. But after a few months, they both agreed to call it quits. It was the first time a Duggar sibling ended a courtship without marriage.
When they broke up, the Duggar family released a statement about their split. It said Marjorie and Josiah decided to end their courtship because they both believed it was the God's will, per CafeMom. Although this happened, they were still thankful they had the chance to know each other, but their respective families still enjoy one another's "company and close friendship."
So it is not a surprise Jinger remains close to Marjorie, stays in contact, and even asks her to create a special gift for her husband. It also looks like it is not an issue for Josiah, who is now happily married to her wife, Lauren Swanson. There are rumors the two now expect their first baby number.
Josiah and Lauren just tied the knot in June. However, it might be too early for the couple to get reminded of their past relationships as they are just newlywed. Although old romances are something husbands and wives have to accept about each other, it is not the case for the Duggar family.
In their circle, being in a courtship means they are already in a pre-engagement setting. After a few months or years, they will eventually get engaged that will end up in a marriage. A broken courtship means a divorce for them. But from the looks of it, Marjorie's connection to Jinger is not a huge problem for Josiah and Lauren.
