After refusing many interviews about Scott Disick, Sofia Richie finally gave in and talked about her relationship with Kourtney Kardashian's former partner. The 20-year-old fashion model openly revealed how happy she is with the 35-year-old star, who she called her "best friend."
Sofia is currently in Australia to promote her collaboration with the local shoe brand, Windsor Smith. So after being pressured to spill things about her boyfriend, Disick, on "The Morning Show," Lionel Richie's youngest daughter finally discussed their relationship on "The Sydney Morning Herald," per Hollywood Life.
Surprisingly, Sofia gushed about her romance with Disick for the first time. "We are very happy, very lovey-dovey," she said. Nicole Richie's adoptive sister revealed they are like the best of friends which is the "strongest connection" they have. She went on to describe the "best friend connection between them is what keeps their relationship work out. "I am so happy," she admitted.
Sofia and Scott often face breakup rumors and hate from "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" fans, especially Team Kourtney. The face of many major brands, like Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, and many more, also has battles of her own from criticisms to an awkward situation with her father.
However, Sofia and Scott's relationship remains strong. To make this work, she revealed she doesn't care about the headlines about them. Although she admitted it is hard to avoid rumors, she could not be bothered by it. She also disclosed every news about them is wrong, so she does not read about it. And even though gossips often anger her, it also gives her a good laugh.
She even canceled an interview on "The Project," Australian news and current affairs talk show, to avoid questions about her father and Scott, Metro News reported. She reportedly refused to do the show at the time she was due to be on air because it wouldn't agree with her rules and the limitations to the questions they would ask.
Meanwhile, Sofia also opened up about her career. Although she cannot deny she enjoys modeling, she also wants to do more things for her life. She wants to have a feature with her older sister, Nicole. Aside from being a catwalker, it is also her goal to be a designer. She perfectly knows she is in a high-profile relationship and comes from a famously family, but she wants to get recognized by who she is.
