Fans are about to see more scenes involving Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) in the upcoming "Outlander" Season 4. As Brianna is about to travel back in time through the stones, will Roger follow him and meet her father, Jamie (Sam Heughan)?
Although details about "Outlander" Season 4 are sacredly kept under wraps, Diana Gabaldon's "Drums of Autumn," which the new season is based, has the answer to this question. So be warned as there will be major spoilers ahead.
According to the fan page Claire and Jamie, Jamie and Roger will indeed meet in "Outlander" Season 4. However, it will not be a pleasant one. Brianna is about to encounter a tragic experience when she successfully crosses the stones.
"Drums of Autumn" readers perfectly know Brianna gets raped. The tragic event will happen after she and Roger agree to live together and complete their marriage. Skelton's character will later find out she is pregnant. However, she will be left confused about who is the father of her child, is it her rapist or Roger? She strongly believes that it is her attacker.
Of course, as a father, Jamie will violently react after he learns what happened to her daughter. And because "Outlander" Season 4 carries the 18th-century setting, Brianna will be "ruined" by the tragic event. So Jamie will do everything to find her attacker.
Brianna doesn't want her father to be after her rapist. But as Jamie thinks Roger is the one who rapes her, their first meeting will be a bad one. Jamie will beat Roger and hand him to an Indian tribe. However, fans still have to wait if "Outlander" Season 4 will feature this storyline.
In "Drums of Autumn," Jamie will learn he is wrong about suspecting Roger. The real culprit behind Brianna's rape is the new "Outlander" Season 4 villain, Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speelers).
Celebrity Insider reported the possibility of removing Brianna's rape in "Outlander" Season 4. But there is a new fan theory suggesting Stephen will attack Jamie instead of Brianna.
To recall, Jamie got raped by Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) in "Outlander" Season 1. The show's producers teased Stephen is much worse than Randall, so fans could expect he would do something more terrible to Heughan's character. Although it didn't necessarily mean Jamie would get raped again, it just hinted Stephen could do bad things in "Outlander" Season 4.
"Outlander" Season 4 will hit the small screens on November 4 on Starz.
