The new clan of iPhones is out with the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max leading the way. Both carry a hefty price although there are other models expected to follow soon.
With the base models of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max starting at $1,000, the price for higher models is expected to spike. There are cheaper alternatives such as the iPhone XR priced starting at $749 to consider although folks will need to wait for another month to get them, CNET said.
Some may be willing to hold off for now although there are consumers who want to get their hands on the new Apple phones. Hence, the only recourse would be to pay up for the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max which are now available via the Big Four. They are offering special deals and packages, either through trade-ins. However, the kicker here is that there is a lock-in period to make up for the high prices.
Before deciding, it would be best to check what the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max has to offer. Apple recently released a video on the new model titled “Everything to know in 54 seconds” at their YouTube channel. The video popped up on the day that the two devices were made available for preorder, Apple Insider said.
The wonderfully created video showcases the features of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Mac. This includes the big screens, water and dust resistance, gold color, improved Face ID, better cameras, A12 Bionic chip, and better speakers.
The latest models carry on a familiar design than its predecessor, the iPhone X, had. Beyond the aesthetics and chips backing the Apple flagship, Forbes notes how the latest iPhone models hope to ramp up the innovative capability of the dual cameras of the iPhone XS and XS Max. This includes advanced depth segmentation using the Neural Engine, Smart HDR creating photos with high dynamic range and great image detail, advanced bokeh quality in Portrait mode photos and dynamic depth of field that is user adjustable in the Photos app.
Aside from that, concerns tied up to the OLED displays of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max may have finally been addressed. According to the Korea Herald, Apple has tapped LG as its secondary supplier of OLED panels, potentially dousing water on worries about the shortage of iPhone X and iPhone XS Max to the market.
Whether one is buying the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max now or opt for the cheaper models is anyone's guess. But those who are after bragging rights can invest (heftily) now and show off their brand new iPhone units while others try to figure out how they can financially get one in the market.
