Several outlets last week claimed Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber got married after the couple was seen heading at a courthouse in New York City. But, Baldwin denies and shut down the rumor in a Twitter post.
Baldwin, 21, and Bieber, 24, got engaged back in July. The two were photographed last Thursday afternoon entering a courthouse, wherein Baldwin was seen wearing white. TMZ reported that an eyewitness saw Bieber crying while saying to Baldwin, "I can't wait to marry you, baby."
The insider also said Bieber thanked a court official for "keeping it on the DL." There seemed to be a further confirmation after Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, offered her congratulations on Twitter.
"They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone," another alleged insider told People and added that Bieber and Baldwin wanted a religious ceremony and celebration which only includes their family and close friends. "They're going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love."
But, on Friday, Baldwin went on Twitter to confirm and shut down wedding rumors, by tweeting: "I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!"
Previously, TMZ reported the wedding of the two would probably happen "soon," or as early as next week in Canada. Bieber recently bought a huge estate in Ontario - possible venue for the nuptials.
Baldwin also spoke to the Cut regarding her special day, saying: "I just picture lights strung everywhere," she said. "I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful." She added that the ceremony would likely take place on the West Coast to probably avoid media. She also had a wedding planner, and wedding gown designer picked out.
According to Yahoo Entertainment, Baldwin also shut down comments about her marrying at a very young age.
"My sister was 24 when she got married, and my parents also got married when they were young too. I see no reason to wait. When you know it's right, it's right," the model said. "I said to [my parents], 'You'd stop me if you didn't think this was the right decision, right?' And they didn't. I think they love him more than me!"
In May, Baldwin and Bieber rekindled their relationship for the second time, just after his split with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. Their engagement announcement shocked fans and Gomez, especially as it was so sudden right after he broke up with Gomez. However, Bieber made it clear that Baldwin is "the one."
