Former couple Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may have thrown in the towel on their marriage, but they continue to inspire each other. The 46-year-old actress and their three kids are the main reason why the latter is trying to get it all together amidst rehab stint.

This was revealed by Ben Affleck's younger brother, Casey Affleck, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at "The Old Man and the Gun" press event at Viceroy L'Ermitage in Beverly Hills on Sept. 15, Saturday.

"Alcoholism has a huge impact on not just the person, but also their family," the 43-year-old actor and director said. "So, I think for his kids' sake and for their mom, and for himself, he's trying to do the work and get it together," he added.

Casey Affleck went on to say that he and Ben Affleck came from a long line of alcoholics. Their father and most of their grandparents are addicted to alcohol. Thankfully, all of them have been sober for more than decades already.

While it can be an extremely hard thing to do, the "Batman" actor is trying very hard to put it all together for the sake of his ex-wife and their three kids - 12-year-old Violet, nine-year-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, and six-year-old Samuel Affleck. His relatives and closest friends are also supporting him as he tries to get completely sober.

This revelation has only debunked earlier reports claiming that "The Accountant" actor is ignoring his ex-wife's supposed ultimatum to stay in rehab for at least a month and completely get sober or she will reportedly file for full custody of their three kids.

Ben Affleck, however, does not care about Jennifer Garner's alleged demand, Woman's Day Magazine (via Gossip Cop) reported. Instead, he wants to get sober soon so he can continue his rumored brewing romance with Playboy model, Shauna Sexton.

"No matter what threats Jennifer has made, Ben's not willing to give up Shauna," an unnamed source told Woman's Day Magazine, claiming that the award-winning actor and filmmaker reportedly offered his rumored girlfriend more than $400,000 per month to be his assistant or caretaker once he gets out of rehab.

The source added, "He can't stand to be alone and has told her he doesn't care that she has no experience in working with addicts. He feels that just looking at her keeps him from drinking."
