Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum may be visiting Cuba for the filming of their upcoming television series, "Boyfriend." tvN is not yet confirming the news, but according to reports, it may be the case.
"Boyfriend" already started filming in Seoul, but it looks like Song Hye Kyo, Park Bo Gum, staff, and other cast members are now preparing to shoot in a new location. Soompi reported the show's latest site might be in Cuba, which is far more different from their original set in Granada, Spain.
A source from the show's production revealed it is not yet confirmed if "Boyfriend" new location is in Cuba. "We are planning on going to Cuba to film," the insider said. "Although we still have much to be worked out locally."
The tipster explained they cannot affirm yet if "Boyfriend" will be filming in Cuba instead of Spain. The network still has a lot to do regarding the show's production in the said country.
The source continued to say tvN hax no permission yet to film "Boyfriend" in some places of Cuba. The network also has a lot of things to consider before they finally confirm the news. But the insider teased it is very likely, Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum's will come to the Caribbean Island.
To add fuel to the fire, there are rumors Song Hye Kyo's script already includes sequences in Cuba. If this will indeed happen, Song Joong Ki' wife and Park Bo Gum will leave Korea by the end of September or early October for the filming of "Boyfriend."
Meanwhile, reports started to emerge that Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum would lead tvN's new drama series, "Boyfriend." However, at the time, the network has yet to confirm the news. "We're currently negotiating the format of 'Boyfriend,'" it said in a statement, per the South China Morning Post.
"Boyfriend" is about a woman who has everything and a man who is her total opposite. Song Hye Kyo will play the role of a politician's daughter and a former daughter-in-law of a family that is holding a big business. Park Bo Gum, on the other hand, will portray the character of a man who does not have much but still enjoys his ordinary everyday life. The show is written by Yoo Young Ah, who is also behind other favorite Korean dramas like "My Annoying Brother" and "No Breathing."
