In one week time, fans are about to see "Chicago Fire" Season 7 on the small screen. As everyone is now excited to witness Firehouse 51's new journey, take a look at Joe Minoso's character as Joe Cruz. Will he have a new girlfriend this time?
Joe is Firehouse 51's comic relief along with his best friend, "Otis" Zvonecek (Yuri Sardarov), although not often. Even though Minoso's role is just a supporting character in "Chicago Fire" Season 7, he is not always all laughs.
Joe is always ready to serve when there is a firecall. He also played a lot of significant parts in some of the show's best storylines. He was even there when Otis got shot, which brought out his dark side. Now that a different part of him got revealed, would it be seen in "Chicago Fire" Season7?
According to One Chicago Center, even though Joe is just a supporting character, it does not mean he cannot have his personal storyline in "Chicago Fire" Season 7. The show should focus on his romantic life after what happened in the previous season.
His reignited love for his former girlfriend, Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), did not blossom. So he was once again left broken hearted. He then pursued his other ex-partner, Delia, when they got reconnected on social media. But she is married. As his love life is quite tragic, will things get different in "Chicago Fire" Season 7
In an interview with "Chicago Fire" Season 7 showrunner Derek Haas, he talked about Joe's love life and how things could change for him. The 48-year-old writer noticed fans love their television series because of the love stories that happen in and out of Firehouse 51.
"I love doing the romance part of it," he said about "Chicago Fire" Season 7 at a press event. "I forget sometimes how important it is, because in the summertime you're thinking about what are the big stunts, big accidents we can do."
A new cast joined "Chicago Fire" Season 7, and she is said to have an interest to one of the firefighters. Is she the one Joe has been waiting?
Aside from a new romance, Joe can also have a serious storyline in "Chicago Fire" Season 7. Minoso's acting when Otis got shot was beyond brilliant. However, he did not have a chance to do more of that. So the series could also show his serious side on its return.
"Chicago Fire" Season 7 will hit the small screens on September 27 on NBC.
