Justin Bieber reportedly refused to get a prenup when he marries his fiancé Haile Baldwin. The 24-year-old singer is worth $265m, thanks to his hit albums and sold-out tours.
"He refuses to get a prenup," a source said. "He's deeply religious and believes that marriage is for life and divorce isn't an option."
Baldwin, 21, also has her own fortune, thanks to her contracts with H&M, Guess, Sonia Rykiel, Topshop, and Ralph Lauren. Her worth is believed to be somewhere between $5m to $10m.
Prenups are usually common when one spouse is worth significantly more than the other. But since the two are devoted Christians, they apparently skip the prenup and avoid divorce because of their beliefs.
However, the source added that Bieber's team thinks that he should be more careful and consider getting a divorce.
"They think Justin is being naive," said the insider. "Justin's family and management hope that he and Hailey work out but at the same time they want him to protect his assets."
Meanwhile, there rumors circulated online that the two already tied the knot at a courthouse in New York. Baldwin's uncle, Alec Baldwin, seemed to also confirm the marriage of the two as he quoted saying, "They just went off and got married and I don't know what the deal is."
But Hailey dismissed the rumor and went on Twitter by writing, "I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!" However, she deleted the tweet later on.
Now, it is being rumored that Baldwin and Bieber will be having their big ceremony in Canada next week. A source close to the couple told People that Baldwin "feels a civil ceremony and their 'real' wedding are two separate things."
According to TMZ, the wedding bash of the two will be held at the $5m mansion in Ontario, Canada, which Bieber purchased this summer. The property has four-bedrooms featuring a private equestrian facility with stables and a 5/8 mile race track.
The source of the site also noted Baldwin and Bieber originally planned their wedding to 2019 but they later had a "change of heart" and want to marry in mid-September.
"Justin wants to make his full-time home in Canada," a source told Us Weekly. "He needs to get out of the L.A., NYC scene. He's trying to climatize what a normal life should look like. He feels most at peace at home."
