Ariana Grande has decided to take a break from the public for a very important reason. The singer reportedly wants to prioritize her mental health and well-being after she's been through a lot ever since the horrible terrorists attack at her Manchester concert last year, and the recent death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

On Monday, Grande's team confirmed she wouldn't be attending the 2018 Emmys because she is planning to take some time for herself to prioritize her health, particularly her mental health.

"Contrary to reports, Ariana will not be attending the Emmys tonight," a rep for Grande confirmed to People and added that her fiancé Pete Davidson would stay home with her as well.

"Pete has also opted to not attend to be with her in New York." The rep added, "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without a deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding."

Ever since the death of Miller, chose to stay silent by disabling comments on her Instagram account. But she, later on, broke her silence after posting a captionless photo of Miller on her Instagram, and later on, followed by a video with a caption: "i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can't believe you aren't here anymore. i really can't wrap my head around it."

Grande has also been open regarding her mental health issues after facing the Manchester bombing. Earlier this month, she discussed the anxiety she experienced upon her first trip back to England since the benefit concert she hosted in summer 2017.

"Sry i'm really really anxious and really exhausted and jus trying to get thru the trip. hope that's ok. hope you enjoy the performances. my priority is giving u the best performances i'm capable of," the 25-year-old singer said on Twitter.

Grande has been very candid about her emotional struggles she had endured ever since the attack happened, and that her tweets indicated she's still going through it.

"i'm like really trying. it's jus been a while since i've done this or been this far away from home. this was a huge test. so far not so great hehe. but i've loved singing for u and seeing ur faces. that part has been nice. thanks for understanding n for loving me," she added.
