Nicole Kidman is reportedly fighting Tom Cruise as she wants to save their son Connor from Scientology. But this story, however, has been debunked.
Recently, 23-year-old Connor gave up his career of being a DJ because he wanted to settle in Clearwater, Florida, which is near to Scientology's headquarters where Cruise also owns a home. And According to OK! Magazine, Kidman feared that their adopted son would be "groomed to be the church's new Golden Boy," and that she could lose him forever to the religion.
"Nicole knew Connor was involved with his dad's religion... But she still assumed his father's status within the church would allow Connor to have a somewhat normal upbringing. Getting Connor out of there has become Nicole's No. 1 priority," an alleged source said to the magazine.
The publication also said Kidman asked her friend Cary Jones Munoz, an assistant director who had worked on two of Kidman's films, to convince Connor to run away from the headquarter of the church and meet with her.
"It's Nicole's only hope," the untraceable tipster said. "There's no other way she can communicate with Connor because she suspects that any mail would be censored and any phone calls listened to."
The insider continues saying, "All she wants is some face time with her baby boy for one last chance to plead with him to leave the church and live a better life."
This leads to a major problem for Cruise, as per the source.
"Tom's a hothead and when he thinks a line has been crossed he reacts. Knowing she's reaching out to Connor has got to make Tom's blood boil," revealed the insider and Kidman is not concerned if ever she will have a fight with her ex-husband, and added, "Tom doesn't have the power in Hollywood he used to. Her priority is getting Connor out."
However, according to Gossip Cop, the report of the publication is based on information from an anonymous and nonexistent "source." Just last week, Gossip Cop also busted New Idea from reporting the same story about Kidman trying to save Connor from Cruise's religion.
A spokesperson for the actress said the article was fabricated and not true at all, hence, the recent claim of OK! Magazine is not true as well.
It's also worth noting that Gossip Cop also busted a report in August 2017 from the same publication, claiming Kidman and husband Keith Urban got separated, but the spouses are still happily married.
