Sorry, "Magic Mike XXL" fans. Actors Channing Tatum and Amber Heard are not dating, despite a report claiming that there is something brewing between the two.
The dating rumors started when the latest issue of OK! Magazine (via Gossip Cop) claimed that Channing Tatum and Amber Heard's friendship recently turned into a full-fledged romance following the former's split from actress Jenna Dewan.
According to the source, the 32-year-old actress always had a thing for her "Magic Mike XXL" co-star Channing Tatum ever since production. However, she opts not to pursue him further since both of them were still married to their respective partners at the time.
"Things are going really well," an unnamed source told the news outlet. "[Channing Tatum and Amber Heard are] both really happy and have even floated the idea of moving in together."
The source went on to say that Channing Tatum and Amber Heard have been trying to keep their romance a secret. However, they are at that "point where they don't care anymore. They feel they deserve to be happy, and if that's with each other, so be it," the source added.
Not long after it made noise online, Gossip Cop was quick to debunk the claims. Amber Heard's spokesperson also dismissed it and stressed that she is not dating the "21 Jump Street" actor. She has allegedly decided to focus on her career and set aside her love life for now.
Amber Heard, who gained widespread fame after starring in 2008's "Pineapple Express," will reprise her role as Mera in the much-awaited DC Comics superhero film, "Aquaman."
The character is the love interest of Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and daughter of King Nereus (Dolph Lundgren). She possesses hydrokinetic and telepathic powers that enable her to control her aquatic environment and communicate with other Atlanteans.
This after Amber Heard recently admitted she was initially not interested about playing the said character, thinking it will simply stand on the sidelines while the guys fight it out. She finally said "yes" after film director Zack Snyder relate to her who Mera is.
"I said, 'I am not interested,'" Amber Heard admitted, as quoted by Cinema Blend. "Then, Zack Snyder explained to me a little bit of who this character was and he said, 'she's a warrior queen, this is no damsel.'," she added.
"Aquaman," which also stars Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman, is set to be released in theaters across the United States on Dec. 21.
