It looks like there is a bad blood brewing between Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. A new report suggests that the 28-year-old actress is upset at the latter for casting singer-songwriter Lady Gaga in the recently released musical film, "A Star Is Born," instead of her.

According to the latest issue of In Touch Magazine (via Gossip Cop), Jennifer Lawrence allegedly wanted to play the female lead role in the remake of 1937's musical romantic drama film, "A Star Is Born." However, Bradley Cooper, who directed and produced the said film, did not even consider her for the role.

"[Jennifer Lawrence] she feels she and Bradley [Cooper] should have done the film together," an unnamed source told the magazine. "But Bradley told her early on that he was looking for a raw talent. Jen can sing, but not like [Lady] Gaga, who was clearly born to play this role," the source added.

Despite what the magazine's source says, Jennifer Lawrence's representative quickly debunked that rumor. The "Hunger Games" star previously admitted she does not like singing in front of other people at all, describing it as her biggest fear. Also, she has nothing but praise for her "Silver Linings Playbook" co-star Bradley Cooper's directorial film debut.

"He actually just directed a movie and I just saw it and it's [expletive] phenomenal," Jennifer Lawrence said during an interview on Marc Maron's "WTF" podcast earlier this year. "He's going to be one of the greats. He's going to be an amazing director," she added.

The story of "A Star Is Born" heavily revolves around a well-known country musician, Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper), who discovers and falls in love with an up-and-rising singer, Ally (Lady Gaga).

Upon its release, "A Star Is Born" received critical acclaim with praise for the lead stars' performances, including the soundtrack. Hence, a soundtrack album to the musical romantic drama film, which will feature 19 songs and 15 dialogue tracks, will be released on Oct. 5.

In other news, Bradley Cooper will once again voice the character of Rocket in the yet untitled "Avengers" film. He will also star in the upcoming crime film, "The Mule," alongside actors Clint Eastwood and Dianne Wiest.

Jennifer Lawrence, on the other hand, will reprise her role as Raven Darkhölme, better known as Mystique, in the upcoming superhero film, "X-Men: Dark Phoenix." It is set to be released in the United States on Feb. 14, 2019.
