The bad blood continues between rappers Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly. As they continue exchanging harsh words, many fans believed that the whole feud is staged.
Before that, here is a quick recap of where all this came from. It all started in May 2012 when Machine Gun Kelly tweeted that Eminem's then-16-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott Mathers, is "hot as f--k."
Soon afterward, the 28-year-old rapper and singer, whose real name is Richard Colson Baker, has been banned from going to Shade 45, a radio station owned by Eminem. Enraged, he collaborated on a song with rapper Tech N9ne and allegedly sent subliminal insults towards the "Rap God" hitmaker.
The feud was, then, reignited in late August when Eminem surprisingly hits back at Machine Gun Kelly in his new track, "Not Alike," rapping, "And I'm talkin' to you / but you already know who the f--k you are, Kelly / I don't use sublims and sure as f--k don't sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie."
In response, Machine Gun Kelly quickly slammed the 45-year-old rapper and songwriter with the release of "Rap Devil." He raps: "Mad about something I said in 2012 / Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss / Homie we get it, we know that you're the greatest rapper alive / FXXXing dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside."
Then on Sept. 12, Eminem has finally addressed his long-running feud with Machine Gun Kelly during a sit-down interview with Sway Calloway. "The Real Slim Shady" rapper said that there are some reasons why he dissed Machine Gun Kelly.
"The reason that I dissed him is because he got on-first he said 'I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45' or whatever he said, right? Like I'm trying to hinder his career," Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, explained (via Cosmopolitan). "I don't give a f--k about your career. You think I actually f--king think about you? You know how many f--king rappers are better than you? You're not even in the f--king conversation," he added.
Despite their exchanges of harsh words, many fans are not entirely convinced by it stressing that it might be another publicity stunt to increase album sales. Fans also pointed out that a few of Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly's diss tracks were actually produced by the same person, Ronny J.
Eminem and MGK are both signed to Interscope and both used Ronny J as a producer on their diss tracks.#AlbumPromo — Tyler Jordan (@iamTylerJordan) September 18, 2018
That it's all a ploy to get both of their sales up because they are both under interscope records and thats the only reason; MGK has a new EP on the 21st — Serenity (@SerenityDnB) September 19, 2018
